Your first visit is all about your child — his or her comfort, happiness, and health.
Your child’s first visit will include a full dental examination, during which we will evaluate your child’s oral health. Dental X-rays will be taken if deemed necessary. X-rays are useful for noting the condition of the jaw, sinuses, teeth, and tissue below the gum line. These images are crucial for providing comprehensive dental care that effectively addresses your child’s unique needs. If your child has not received a dental cleaning in the last six months, your child will receive a standard cleaning to thoroughly cleanse all surfaces of the teeth of plaque and other buildup along with a topical fluoride application.
Dr. Burgess can answer any questions you may have, discuss oral hygiene practices, dietary practices, and provide anticipatory guidance. If further dental treatment is recommended, Dr. Burgess will discuss all treatment options and answer any questions you may have. A proposed treatment plan will be provided to you.
